Cargocastle explores the human experience through energetic soundscapes. With influences ranging from thrash metal to ambient to post-rock to electronic and everything in between, the one-man music project spearheaded by Cory Wayne Dell is a vessel for authentic expression.
Brought to life in October 2024, Cargocastle burst onto the scene with the single “Truth and Reconciliation,” receiving praise from various outlets across the globe.
The energetically personal track touches on Dell’s navigation of C-PTSD, weathering an intense round of vivid flashbacks to encapsulate the raw emotion in “Truth and Reconciliation.”
This track also inspired the memoir, Shadow of a Monster, that is currently seeking publication.

"Truth and Reconciliation is a rare work that achieves universality through its specificity. While it is deeply rooted in Dell’s personal experiences, the emotions it conveys – pain, struggle, and ultimately, hope – are ones that resonate broadly. It challenges us to confront our own truths, to reconcile with their pasts, and to find beauty in the act of creation. The track’s philosophical underpinnings, encapsulated in Dell’s reflection on love, fear, and authenticity, elevate it from a mere piece of music to a profound statement on the human condition." - KIMU
